Pulsed Dye Laser
If you are living with skin discoloration in the form of vascular (blood vessel) areas such as spider veins, or rosacea, VBeam® may be a great option for you.
How Does VBeam® Work?
VBeam®’s technology works by delivering rapid bursts of gentle light wavelengths to the skin. When the light hits the skin, it becomes converted into heat energy, which is absorbed by specific blood vessels or melanin pigmented areas in the dermis, depending on the condition being treated. Dr. Walia most often uses this laser to treat facial/leg spider veins, redness from acne scars, as it is the safest and most effective method. VBeam® can also be used to treat the neck, hands, and other areas of the body.
What Does VBeam® Treat?
- Vascular lesions /moles such as port-wine stains, hemangiomas
- Leg/Facial Spider Veins
- Stretch marks (pink in color)
- Red acne scars, burn scars
- Under-eye pigmentation
What Can I Expect from VBeam® Treatment?
Redness and slight swelling are possible, which tend to resolve within a few days to one week.
How Many Treatments Do I Need?
An average of 4 treatments is recommended at 6-week intervals.
